Virgil became licensed to sell real estate in Oregon at the age of 23 and has been very active in the industry since 2001. Every year in the business Virgil has been a top producing real estate broker, offers complete knowledge of the Bandon real estate market and is very well known in the area having helped many clients buy or sell their property whether they are first time home buyers or savvy investors. Virgil represents Buyers & Sellers of all property types, provides property consultations and opinions of local property value. Virgil is a native Oregonian having spent most of his life in Bandon. Virgil graduated from Bandon High School in 1996 then worked a few different trades prior to his real estate career including golf course construction at the world famous Bandon Dunes Golf Resort. Aside from work, Virgil spends his precious spare time with his wife Renee, 3 daughters Jazmyn, Jordyn, Jaclyn and son Christian. Virgil partakes in competitive slow-pitch softball across the NW when time allows as a primary hobby but also enjoys golf, traveling, beach combing on Bandon’s world class beaches and simply taking advantage of the great outdoors the southern Oregon has to offer.

“We called Virgil to sell our beach house which sits on ten acres in rural Oregon about miles South of Bandon, OR. With help I got the fully furnished home ready after about one month to sell by May and Virgil approved the finished product after earlier walk thrus to offer suggestions (remove clutter, etc). Virgil suggested listing for something like $620 K and we agreed on $598 K. I left, never to return. Virgil arranged for a spectacular video for prospective buyers. There was one low ball offer but Virgil correctly declined it without presenting it to us. Then nothing more happened until August when, in the space of a week, we received three offers. One was low but the other two were close to our asking price. Virgil handled the negotiations while consulting with us. Eventually we wound up with the two offers within three hundred dollars of each other and I think they were right about $590 K. We agreed to accept the higher offer (neither was all cash) and Virgil arranged for the other prospect to make a back up offer. The prospective buyer started removing contingencies including numerous inspections. Virgil was on site for at least some of them, I believe. He managed to persuade the prospective buyer to ignore one inspection that recommended tearing off all the board and batten siding and replacing it. Eventually the prospective buyer came back with a list of repairs totalling something like $10 K. I was disappointed as I wanted to sell “as is”. Which is what we have always done in the past in California and Nevada. But apparently Oregon law prevents that. I suggested we split the cost with the buyer and Virgil got them to agree. Things proceeded along to closing and I went to the title office in Reno with the power of attorney from my wife to sign the final documents. By then it was probably September or October. Unfortunately it turned out the power of attorney I had was deemed to be a copy and not the original. So I could not sign the necessary papers. Various legal maneuvers were considered and tried by lawyers I retained in Nevada and Oregon but nothing worked. Meanwhile the lender wanted another ten thousand to extend the terms of the loan and once again I offerred to split it with the prospective buyers and Virgil made the necessary arrangments. Eventually my wife died on January 26th and the property passed to me by operation of Oregon law. Virgil got to work and the deal closed on February 15th and the proceeds were deposited into our joint account on the 16th. Thru out the trying process Virgil kept working and optimistic altho I felt like giving up more than once.”
